Danby celebrated its 150 Anniversary on August 27,1911 with the dedication of the fountain (seen vailed in the rear) and a parade.

Mount Tabor Southend schoolhouse bell. This bell was purchased by Silas Griffith from the Meneely Bell Co. in Troy, NY when he built the schoolhouse at his “Southend” village. It is inscribed, “I call together the children of God and The children of man” 1897

Ted Lewis operated a Dairy Bar at 19 North Main St. Danby from the late 1940s into the 1950 and then became the town’s barber at that location until he moved his barber shop to Manchester.
