    Danby, Aug. 4.—The last honors were paid S. L. Griffith today when a large number of friends, employees and relatives gathered for the funeral services and burial.

    FUNERAL OF S. L. GRIFFITH
    Will Be Held in Danby Tuesday. Aug. 4—Leaves California Today.
    (Special to the Free Press.)

    San Diego, Cal., July 26.—Tomorrow the funeral party accompanying the remains of the Hon. S. L. Griffith of Danby, Vt., will leave here for Vermont. They expect to reach home on Saturday, the first day of August. The funeral will be held in Danby at the Congregational ‘Church on Tuesday, August 4, at two o’clock in the afternoon.

    Services were held here at the winter residence of Mr. Griffith. “The Palms,” Friday afternoon. There was a large attendance of friends and a magnificent display of flowers. The officiating clergymen were the Reverends Crabtree, Abbott and Vrommer.
